Using
different weed control products, we apply either pre or post emergants.
Pre emergents are applied prior to weed growth and post emergents are
applied directly on the weeds after they have emerged.
- Broad leaf weeds – Apply a post emergent as soon as weeds appear. Some examples are dandilions, chickweed, and plantian.
- Grass weeds- Using a combination of pre and post emergents, control crab grass, dallies grass, and goose grass.
- Proper soil acidity: Correct acidity of your soil is very important. Lime, if necessary, balances the acidity in soils. Lawns grow best in slighty acid to neutral PH levels in this area. Lime will counterbalance strongly acidic soils and ad calcium as a nutrient and increase the availability of other plant nutrients.
- Irrigation control and water monitoring: Proper watering plays a very important role in the success of your turf, beds, trees and shrubs. Proper watering amounts and frequency are dictated by your turf and property requirements. Water only needs to be applied when the grounds require.
- Mulching:
Add the finishing touch to your landscape. With clean edging and the
correct depth of mulch, your plants will grow healthier and look
better. Mulch keeps needed moisture in the beds for the longest
possible time and protects the root structure from the sun and slows
drying. In addition, you will not have to compete with weeds or worry
about mowing too closely and damaging the bark of your favorite
specimens.
